Personalized awards ceremony

Organize a ceremony where each student receives a unique recognition. Together with your students, you can brainstorm categories or skills that stood out in your class throughout the year and recognize them. For example, some categories might include:

Most Improved Award: For those who have demonstrated significant improvement

Caring Award: For students who are always willing to help others

Leadership Award: For those who have taken on positive leadership roles in the classroom

Good Sportsmanship Award: For those who have demonstrated sportsmanlike behavior in both games and sports competitions

Creativity Award: For those who have excelled in creative projects

To make the activity more entertaining and involve the students, we can ask them to participate in choosing the categories and winners as well as preparing handmade diplomas or medals. In this way they have the opportunity to create a nice souvenir of the school year and of their classmates.

2. Portfolio

During the course our students work on many different projects. One way to review all the work they have done and see their progress is to create a portfolio that compiles their best work and ask them to add reflections on their progress during the year. Reflecting on their past work and their progress is a good way to help them develop self-criticism and self-confidence.

3. Classroom Murals

Create a mural in the classroom or in a common space in the school where students can put their best memories and work that they are proud of. You can use photos taken at various school events, drawings or art projects, and inspirational words they write themselves.

4. Thank you video

Create a collaborative video in which students record messages of thanks and special memories. It is not necessarily required that the students appear in the video, but you can record their voices and use visual and graphic resources that they themselves help create. In this way, in addition to creating the messages, we involve them in making video content and take advantage of the opportunity to teach basic notions of audiovisual language. It can be a fun and meaningful project that everyone can keep.

Celebrating students’ achievements at the end of the school year is an excellent way to motivate children and recognize the effort they have put in all year long. In doing so, we give them a way to reflect on their own progress and appreciate the work they have done.

Whether through award ceremonies, class projects or thank-you’s, each of these ideas can contribute to closing out the school year with joy and gratitude. Remember that the most important thing is to make each student feel valued and appreciated for their achievements and effort.

If you have not yet tried our educational platform, you can do so through the following link.

The last weeks of the school year are the ideal time to recognize and celebrate our students’ achievements and thank everyone for a successful school year.
